ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“Naked Aggression” juxtaposes two sets of paintings: one that depicts a moment of vulnerability in the female nude, and one that captures the terrible power of Trident II SLBMs (Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles). Viewers are invited to contemplate how these works are informed by the current state of geopolitics and the culture war, or they could reflect on the deeper psychological, sexual, and philosophical symbolic content. I work to challenge myself and to create artworks that resonate with others emotionally and aesthetically.
